BMW Financial Services Middle East, Albatha Holding and AGMC Launch Region’s First Premium Captive Leasing Programme

Dubai, UAE: AGMC, the BMW Group importer for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, has launched an innovative new leasing programme that will make it easier than ever to drive home a luxury BMW Group vehicle.

BMW and MINI Leasing will be offered through BMW Albatha Leasing, a joint venture between BMW Financial Services, Albatha Holding and AGMC, and is the first premium captive leasing programme in the Middle East. It offers customers the opportunity to drive the BMW or MINI of their choice and avail of a host of benefits. These include: no down payment, flexible contract tenures of one, two or three years with up to 10,000, 15,000 or 20,000 kms and fixed monthly instalments covering all running costs except for petrol and Salik crossings. Their Salik card purchase will also be covered.

The move comes in the wake of a growing trend amongst individuals, professionals and businesses who are placing more emphasis on alternative and flexible mobility solutions as a reflection of a shifting economic landscape and evolving lifestyles. “We recognise that customer needs are changing so it‘s imperative that brands such as BMW and MINI are well-prepared to cater to a different set of demands,“ said Spiros Philippas, CEO of BMW Financial Services Middle East. “Although buying a car is still highly valued in the region, the automotive leasing concept is gaining traction amongst both private and commercial customers, and there is an increasing interest in products that provide more flexibility and peace of mind. BMW and MINI Leasing is the latest in a series of announcements from AGMC in its 40th year of operations as it embarks upon an ambitious, customer-orientated campaign to take its retail experience to greater heights. Most recently, the company announced the opening of a new state-of-the-art AED200 million BMW and MINI facility in Dubai Motor City, an area where there are currently no other automotive dealerships. Due to open in the last quarter of 2017, it will be an entirely different type of facility – more environmentally friendly and family orientated with an iconic and contemporary design, signalling a new era for the importer. In addition, AGMC has invested more than AED 100 million over the past five years across all areas of the business to enhance the overall customer experience. This includes the opening of new facilities in Fujairah and Deira, and the expansion of its Sheikh Zayed Road showroom in 2011 and again in March 2016, with the opening of a new workshop for BMW and MINI at the flagship facility, with 22 work bays, an exclusive MINI workshop and in-house training center.

The flexible new mobility  option will allow consumers and businesses across Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates access to a  range of BMW and MINI vehicles, including the flagship BMW 7 Series, 5 and 3 Series, X family members as well as the popular MINI Hatch, Countryman, and the new Clubman and Convertible, without the long-term responsibility of ownership.
