Carpet and Arts Oasis 2016

The Carpet and Arts Oasis 2016 is one of the world’s biggest displays of hand-woven carpets and a sure magnet for our ExpatConnect Handcrafting Group. It features the finest works from various countries, including Turkmenistan, China, India, Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

 

Dubai Shopping Festival

Where? Throughout Dubai

This year, the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) celebrates its 21st anniversary. As the largest shopping and entertainment spectacle in the Middle East, DSF takes place throughout Dubai, including Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, and Mall of the Emirates. The Ripe Food and Craft Market

The Ripe Food and Craft Market is a community event and offers fresh organic local fruits and vegetables, as well as a wide range of handmade art and accessories. In addition, there are live musicians and a petting zoo for children.

 

Al Faris (The Knight)

Al Faris (The Knight) is a musical play inspired by the poems of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. In the leading roles are the renowned Lebanese singer Ghassan Saliba, and famous Emirati singer Balqees Fathi. This is a great event for theatre and music enthusiasts, aka our ExpatConnect Acting Group and ExpatConnect Music Lovers.

Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon 2016

  2. Race 2 (10km) starts at 7:15am and is for those who are 15 years and above
  3. Race 3 (3km) starts at 11am and is open to everybody
